I am so excited to have found your site. The tutorials are clear and easy to understand and I have already made my first rose, with your guidance, and it actually looks like a rose! Thanks so much to both of you.

~Jennifer-R

Wow, thank you so much for this excellent tutorial. I love working with clay and I'm learning more every day. Cindy, I can’t thank you enough for everything you've been teaching us. And thanks for your tips and suggestions about my Rose Bead Cane.

~Tania-K

I made some roses like yours, and I must admit that Skinner Blend roses are one of the most beautiful things made out of polymer clay. Thank You~

~Nevena-S

Excellent tutorial Cindy! Roses are my favorite, my Grampa grew them, and when I see one, I think of him. This method could be adapted to different flowers too. I thought of Peonies... which were my gramma's favorites, but also Dahlia's or Magnolia's, maybe even Zinnia's or Marigolds. Thanks for a useful tute.

~Jamie-H

Cindy, every lesson from you teaches me so much. I loved making these sculpted roses…. and your Calla Lily beads too (Vol-016-1)... they turned out great. Now I'm working on some sculpted orchids (Vol-075).

~Andreea-G

These roses are absolutely gorgeous! Tho suede finish clays make me want to try making Blue Suede Roses to match my high heel shoes, LOL! The pink to deep rose colored flowers, offset by that beautiful orangey-gold center, would be perfect done with your Lietz Teardrop Blend and Modified Blended Plug methods.

~Jocelyn-C

Your rose tutorial is fantastic! I usually do my graduated roses using a Skinner blend sheet, but I'm definitely going to try it using your blended plug method! I've made roses on stems, in pots and vases, as well as several jewelry pieces.

~Deborah-S

I was very impressed by the modified Skinner roll/plug. Another great new technique by Cindy. It reminds me of a rainbow. We have to come up with a name for this wonderful technique. Cindy, I know you are swamped but hope you can clone yourself and write an article about these techniques.

~Anna-S

I've been trying my hand at different wildflower canes, not a simple task. Using a wildflower book with up close photos has helped, but I think now I have found out why they didn't have that realistic look to them. Adding translucent clay, which I did not do before, does them much more justice. Thank you Cindy!

~Yvonne-B

After watching this rose tutorial, I just have to say that I made my most successful roses ever... even though I've been making them in sugar paste for many years. And my nephew loved the resulting earrings I made for him to give to his girlfriend for their first anniversary - young love, eh?

~Judy-M

Cindy, I love all these roses, they are beautiful. You could use the same method but keeping the petals in closer for buds or just blooming buds. I wish had known how to do these before I bought a bunch of little Calla Lilies, as I could have used this technique with only one wrap of one petal for each lily.

~Laurel-B

Cindy what a nice technique... much easier than mine I should add. Thank you so much for doing this Rose Bead video for us. I really enjoyed and learned a great deal from it. Hugs.

~Tania-K

This video is really cool! I'm not usually into sculptural flowers, but I worked through the tutorial anyway. It was good fun and I made some pretty roses by the end of it.

~Anna-R

I just watched the rose bead video. I really needed to see the whole process, I've read (other) instructions on making flowers, and they were as clear as mud. Your instructions are so clear, and the colour blending is so logical and practical. I have made all sorts of flowers using this technique. Your tutorials are fantastic!

~Cara-L

My first three variegated roses were a little too pinky pink for my liking, but my daughter will adore these while I work on easing up the colors. These are so easy and they come out so beautiful! I can definitely see these going on barrettes, earrings, necklaces etc. Love it!

~Katy-A

Cindy those roll up beads, done with the teardrop blend then antiqued, are gorgeous. Easy to do for most folks too. This would make a wonderful activity for a group of folks you'd like to expose to polymer clay for the first time, like a children's art class or senior's center craft day. Lots of impact from simple procedures.

~Jocelyn-C

Thanks for the variegated rose bead video. I'd wondered how to get the colors going in the right direction... that's always where I have the most difficulty... getting the colors to be in the right place in the cane. So... mystery solved, thank you!

~Patricia-C

I love your rose cane video, and especially the addition of pearl and translucent to make the ends shine. I did a Kaleidoscope cane (Vol-021-1) and put pearl in them, but when I cut them the pearl made the cane mushy looking, so I'm very careful about putting just plain pearl in a cane now. Yours is beautiful.

~Bonnie-K

Hi Cindy I was excited to see the variegated rose bead video. I LOVE all of your videos! They are so wonderful! Thanks so much.

~Crystal-B

Thanks so much Cindy for your kind remarks about my rose beads. I'm still learning, and I must say learning a great deal, from you. Thanks so much for answering those questions about the baking instructions and cold water treatment. Can't thank you enough.

~Tania-K

Very nice tutorial! Can't wait to make these gorgeous flowers. Thank you, Cindy!

~Zuleykha-M

Cindy, your rose is stunning! I'm sure your mom loved it! When I master these, you can bet I'll be selling my Polymer Clay roses on Etsy... and I'll give you credit for inspiration and tutoring! It's always good to have something to aspire to! I've sure learned a ton of great stuff from your videos. Thank you.

~Sue-W

Very pretty! I can see them on hair slides or grips or similar. Or how about wine glass charms for parties?

~Anna-R

These roses would also make a gorgeous dresser set… roses attached to combs, hair and make up brushes, hand mirrors, kleenex boxes, the sides of a mirrored perfume tray, and on the lids and centered on bottle neck chain labels…would be 'to die for!' All custom done to match your bedroom or bathroom colors.

~Jocelyn-C

Wow, beautiful roses, I can see these being made larger into sculptures like capodimonte and even other flowers. My grandmother had a porcelain bedroom set that had roses on it, over time they got broken and now there's only one piece left, a little vase, and even that one has a piece of one of the roses broken off.

~Ken-H

Thank you Cindy, I love this tutorial! Your roses are awesome! I am making a large rose, kinda like the Capodimonte flower in Italy. They will make great gifts. Thank you again, you are awesome!

~Theresa-N

How very useful… thank you! I confess to only recently began using my own colour mixes. I just was never brave enough before. But Cindy, your mixes make life easier… and less stressful… and now I feel even braver.
