Video-013-4 Anjou Pear Beads: How to make a pair shaped fruit bead using translucent clay, embossing powder and alcohol inks. Options for creating an apple bead are also discussed.

I am so thankful that I came across a picture of your Anjou Pear Bead on the web… this video is what lured me into the polymer clay craft!

~Laura-R

I've been working with polymer clay for some time and was constantly trolling the web for information to enhance my learning. Some of it useful... but your tutorials resulted in a shift in how I do so many things. It's how you teach that has made all the difference. My d'Anjou Pear beads turned out so cute thanks to you.

The d'Anjou Pears look good enough to eat. What a simple, but adorable tutorial. I can picture a bunch of these charms in different fruits on a bracelet. Very fun!

~Kriss-J

Oh, this is so adorable. How fun! With my apears, I did some apples as well, as they are similar.

I couldn't resist getting this Anjou Pear Tutorial... they looked so perfect. All of your videos I've watched so far, are so well done. You're teaching beginners how to make something new, and intermediates how to make something right. Everyone who's watching your videos wants to try that projects.

Hi Cindy, When do we eat? Anjou pears are my favorite! Great job!!

~Martha-S

The pear really does look yummy, Cindy. Looks like I'll have to try out some Studio by Sculpey clay very soon. Thanks so much, I learned a lot!

~Maria-C

I love these beads!!!! Of course, this means you will follow up by showing us how to make a series of fruit on the same scale... right? LOL!

~Jocelyn-C

Great tutorial Cindy, many thanks for taking the time and sharing. Oh yummy - they do look good.

I love fruit jewelry!

With your suggestions in mind, I unstrung my pear creation. I'd tried to make it organic looking by stringing them with wooden beads, not my best idea. Anyway, my little pear beads are now part of a lovely set. The big one is on a satin cord, two are now earrings and one is dangling on a bracelet. Thanks for the help.

~Elizabeth-S

Wow! It looks so much like a real pear! Beautiful bead!

I've been using embossing powders for a while, and prefer the fine powder over the coarse blends. I love the look in a translucent clay as the powder almost has a suspended look, great for duplicating a stone look such as granite, marble, etc. Thanks for this Pear tutorial, as usual, you've sparked the creativity bug in me.

~Rob-K

LOVE IT!!! Thank you Cindy. Another winning video tutorial! Can't wait to start making pears and apples!
